Punk Princess Baby Blanket

I’m so excited to finally share this sewing project! I started working on it a little over a month ago for a good friend and finally was able to gift it to her at her baby shower this past weekend. She’s having a little princess in a few weeks (if not sooner!) and I thought of her as soon as I found this fabric. And it perfectly fit the shower theme of Pretty in Pink, too.

This was my first blanket but I had fun making it so I know it won’t be the last! Too many baby showers in the future! I didn’t follow a pattern with this (but did have some help from my sewing mentors!), just laid out the fabric and used painter’s tape to cordon off the squares and sewed straight down the lines. It didn’t take too long and now I’m itching to make another. Super fun!

This side was done in flannel (it’s very pink as you can see).

And this side in a fun polka-dot cotton.

Pink love!
