Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

There’s pretty much only one reason I ever go to Red Lobster, and this is it. These biscuits are so addicting and cheesily delicious! I was so excited to find a recipe to re-create them. And the dupe is pretty good! Only they come with the same problem — addiction. I always want to eat all 12 as soon as they come out of the oven. Restraint is not one of my strong suits, it’s true.

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Makes: 12
Recipe courtesy Top Secret Restaurant Recipes 2 Cookbook

2 1/2 cups baking mix such as Bisquick
4 tablespoons cold butter
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
3/4 cup cold whole milk
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Brush on Top:
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
Pinch salt

1. Preheat oven to 400.

2. Combine Bisquick with cold butter in medium bowl using pastry cutter or large fork. Don’t mix too thoroughly; should be small chunks of butter size of peas. Add cheese, milk, and 1/4 t. garlic. Mix by hand until combined, but don’t overmix.

3. Drop 1/4-cup portions of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet using ice cream scoop. Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until tops begin to turn light brown.

4. Remove from oven, melt 2 T. butter in microwave. Stir in 1/4 t. garlic and parsley. Use brush to spread garlic butter over tops of biscuits.
