I spy…

…a sweet little red tomato!

Just peeking through on a low branch! We were pretty ecstatic that our planting investment is starting to pay off. It’s been months of watering and grooming and carefully watching our baby plants. These little green guys popped up weeks and weeks ago and this wee one just finally started turning red last week. And so we finally get to enjoy the, er, fruits of our labors.

And how’s the rest of our little patio garden doing? Our herbs are flourishing and we’ve been enjoying them for many months (sage, parsley, basil, chives, and rosemary).

Our sweet red bell pepper plant is also going crazy. Except for the caterpillars that keep trying to eat up our leaves. I’m still trying to find an organic way to be rid of them permanently.

We’ve had a few peppers turn up (and they’re getting huge!) but still waiting on them to actually turn red.

I can’t wait till we can eat these babies!

Lastly, our Topsy-Turvy tomato plant has gone quite bonkers. It’s taken residence on much of our patio, earning the name Seymour, fittingly.

And that’s it for our little garden update! Hopefully this big guy will start churning out some big red ones soon! All we’ve got so far are a few little greenies.
