Love this recipe! It’s so tasty, and fun to eat appetizer-like food for dinner! We made a warm potato salad to go with this and it was a great summer meal.
Recipe courtesy Rachael Ray
20 ounces ground turkey (we used about 2 pounds and it made 8 sliders)
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1 large egg
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
1/4 cup olive oil, plus 1 tablespoon
4 (1-ounce) slices cheddar cheese, quartered (we used American and it worked well)
8 small dinner rolls or potato rolls, split (we used Hawaiian sweet rolls…mmm delish)
1. In medium mixing bowl, combine ground turkey with bread crumbs, egg, sage, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Divide mixture into eighths and form into 1/2-inch-thick patties.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in large grill pan over medium heat. When oil is rippling hot, add patties and cook, flipping once, until cooked through, about 4 minutes per side. Place 2 small cheese squares on each burger.
3. Serve each burger on a roll spread with ketchup.
